"My background is in law, where I developed an interest in how regulation, responsibility and collaboration shape technical industries. After my studies I entered the superyacht sector through SYBAss, where I learned the practical side of association management and how collective representation functions in day-to-day industry matters.

Industry associations play a much broader role than representation alone. They create a shared platform where professionals can exchange knowledge, align standards and address challenges that individual companies cannot solve independently. For designers and naval architects in particular, an association helps clarify the value and responsibilities of the profession toward clients, shipyards and regulators.

At SYDNA I aim to continue shaping that role — strengthening understanding of the design process and supporting members by connecting disciplines, generations and stakeholders across the wider maritime industry."
